 Hello Guys & Gals of G.N.O.C.C. !!!
Although the weather has only cooperated intermittently, we are well into full swing of the show & travel season. We have a 'host' of shows and 'activities' coming, so hopefully everyone has all the winter modifications well behind them and are ready to show off their beautiful cars. On Saturday April 13 we arrived in force for the annual St. Jude Show sponsored by the Baton Rouge Corvette Club. Several members took home some beautiful trophies, and the weather and fellowship was outstanding. Although there was not a category for 'Best Participation", I feel our showing of 28 corvettes would have taken the prize.
On Saturday April 19th we were found (of all places) in Houston, Texas for the Corvettes and Crawfish show sponsored by Space City Corvettes. Members; Marc Aucoin, Keith Triche, Bob Decker, Sedonia Saccaro, Tom Wooten, Bobby Warner, and probably more that I have forgotten managed to bring home the gold as to various awards. Again, the food was delicious, the venue was excellent, along with a pre-show party the night before in which at least half of the available 'beef brisket' in Texas was consumed. Thanks to Space City for a good ole time.....Texas Style. I hope we can repay the favor as many of them are planning to attend our upcoming Extravetteganza on October 19th this year.
And speaking of Crawfish, our Annual Tri-Club Crawfish Boil was on April 27, at the home of Rick & Collette Weaver. A success to say the least, the party began promptly at 1 PM and went until about 6 PM. I'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you on behalf of GNOCC to all members that selflessly gave of their time in procurement, set up, cooking, tear down, and cleaning for this event. Again, this kind of engaged active participation is why we continue to be successful as a club. Judging from what was cooked and consumed, it's no wonder that Ralph Adams received a call from the E.P.A. regarding the possibility of having to put "Crawdads" on the "Endangered Species" list if we don't cease and desist these gatherings.
Please check the GNOCC website for upcoming activities as we have many planned so far: Northshore Mustang Open Show in Mandeville, Crusin' the River in Madisonville,   GNOCC Poker Run to Battleship Park,   Back to the Beach Show in Kenner,  GNOCC Annual Bowling Tournament, The Jackson MS indoor show, and many other smaller shows, fundraisers, and cruise-ins to help fill your summer days and nights. Individual emails will be forthcoming from our ever efficient This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. as to the particulars of each of these. Again, you can find all necessary event details on our website, so visit often. Please don't miss our next meeting as we much to talk about, and many new members to introduce.
Our next General Meeting is Friday June 7th at the Italian Pie on Jefferson Hwy. Dine for 6PM with meeting beginning at 7PM.

About Us....

The Greater New Orleans Corvette Club (GNOCC) was founded in 1988 and based in the New Orleans, Louisiana area. We have over 300 members from all the surrounding areas.

Our logo incorporates the C4 corvette flags and the symbol of our city, the Fleur-de-Lis.

What do we do and where do we go? We go to car shows, fairs, festivals, and other fund raising events including supporting as many other car clubs' car shows that we can. Something is going on almost every weekend of the year!

We also go sightseeing to some of the great local and not so local attractions around. We host an annual poker run that brings us to many different and interesting locations every year. There are also several yearly parties that are included with your membership, including a crawfish boil, fish fry and ending the year with a Christmas celebration.

Every year we also put on an annual ALL CORVETTE car show in the fall called the GNOCC EXTRAVETTEGANZA that attracts 150 to 200 Corvettes from many states around the country. The show gets bigger each year. Come check it out this year! Visit our show webpage here.

Our general membership meetings are usually held on the first Friday of the month at the Italian Pie restaurant on Jefferson Hwy. at 7:00pm. Come check out our meeting and have some fun with us.

There is no obligation to join. Hope to see you there.
