Vettes By the Shore

This year Vettes By the Shore was held June 15 - 17. There was a Mustang show that took up about a third of the Coliseum and the fair outside. Approximately 150 Corvettes showed up on this Father's Day weekend. Most club members stayed at the Holiday Inn next to the Coliseum. The party was at the Treasure Bay with a great band and very good food. Sponsor trophies were presented at the party with Vic & Faith Giordano receiving 2, Mike Adams, Sal Marino, Raymond Pertuit, Mike Leeds, Felix Famularo each coming home with 1.
Some members of the club decided to head on over to Biloxi on Thursday. Unfortunately there were scattered thunderstorms along the way. And if you took the exit to the Coliseum you discovered that the road was undergoing serious repairs. Can you imagine what a black C/5 looks like covered in red clay. I hope Sharon took pictures. Raymond finished washing his car in back of the Holiday Inn at 11 PM and at 8 AM he was at the Coliseum with the wheels off cleaning the undercarriage. Congratulations to him, he scored all zero's in Concourse/Show for the second year in a row and took first in the class. Vic and Faith took first in their class and also best engine. Peggy and Charlie King also took first and best paint. Mike Leeds also got a first place along with a best interior trophy. Mike Adams and I both took second in our classes. Felix Famularo and Sal Marino came home with display only trophies.
Quite a few club members opted not to show their cars but came to Biloxi for the show on Father's Day. The Tageson's, Credo's, Roussel's, Lambert's, Richoux's and Irvin Thibodeaux took the ride over. I think everyone had a nice time and we are all looking forward to next year.
