50 Years of Corvette
 
This Zip file of the 50 Years of Corvette that was presented at the Louisiana Chapter NCRS Regional Meet is available for free. You must have WinZip or Windows XP on your PC to extract the files and run the presentation.
 
DO NOT attempt to download this Zip file unless you have a DSL, Cable Modem or other broadband connection. The download will take 7 to 8 minutes on these high speed connections. This is a 90 MB file.
 
Downloading with Windows XP

A File Download Box should appear, click on SAVE.

A Save As Box should now pop up. The default should be Desktop. I would suggest saving it there. It will be easy to find. The file name will be 50YearDisplay.

Once the download is complete a Download Complete box will appear.  Select Close to view the file from your desktop.

Next Click on the 50YearDisplay.zip folder on your desktop. To your left under Folder Tasks will be Extract All Files. Click on this and the Extraction Wizard appears. Click Next and take the default location which will be on your desktop.

You will now have 2 new files on your desktop. Click on the 50 Year Display folder then click the file titled 50 Years of Corvette to watch the show.

The 50YearDisplay.zip folder can be deleted from your desktop.
 
 
Download using WinZip

A panel with you default folder to save files will appear. If this is where you want to place the file click save, if not the browse to create a folder to hold the Zip file. Click Save
 
A panel will appear with options to Open, Save, Cancel. Please press Save.
 
The file will be transferred to your PC.
 
A panel may appear warning you about possible viruses. Click the Save option.
 
Once saved WinZip will start. Click on "I Agree"
 
Click on extract.
 
Click on the -> to the right of the "Extract To:" box and browse to the folder you want to place all the files. You can also point directly to your CD drive if you have a CDRW to make you a CD of the show. Click on "Extract"
 
You do not want to start the show while viewing the file in WinZip. This will cause timing problems between the audio and video of the show. Close the WinZip application.

To start the show open an explorer and browse to the folder where you extracted the files. Double click on PPTVIEW.EXE, then double click on PPSHOW.PPS in the window. If you saved the files on your CD it contains an autorun feature that when you insert the CD in your PC it will start the show. You can always copy all the extracted files to a CD at a later date
 
The show lasts about 15 minutes and has capability to advance to the next frame by clicking on any frame. There is an option to view all the pictures submitted by year at your leisure.
